Striving to live up to this motto, our newly founded laboratory, T-BAG Molecular Pathology Baden-Württemberg GbR, pursues the highest quality standards in all areas. We have the latest technology at our disposal. DNA and RNA extraction is carried out either with standardized kits or fully automated (Maxwell®). DNA/RNA quality control is performed using Qubit™ and automated capillary electrophoresis (Agilent Tapestation).

We have successfully established the NGS pipeline and are one of the first laboratories in Germany to work with the Genexus™ Integrated Sequencer.
This promises very short run times.

Preparation for sequencing (creation of libraries) is also automated, either by Ion Chef™ or in Genexus™ itself.

Variant interpretation is performed by the Thermofisher software Ion Reporter™.
In our findings, we offer a biological and oncological evaluation of the detected relevant variants.

In addition, our laboratory participates in interlaboratory tests on an ongoing basis.

Accreditation

T-BAG Molekularpathologie Baden-Württemberg GbR has been accredited as a Type A inspection body in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020:2012 since April 23, 2025 (German Accreditation Body, DAkkS). Please refer to the certificate appendix for the accredited locations and accredited conformity assessment activities. The processing of samples in the laboratory of T-BAG Molekularpathologie Baden-Württemberg GbR (Schloßstraße 56, 70176 Stuttgart) is always subject to the established QM system of T-BAG Molekularpathologie Baden-Württemberg GbR, regardless of the accreditation status of the submitting locations.

Quality circles

T-BAG Molekularpathologie BW GbR regularly participates (up to twice a year) in the quality circle of the Institute of Pathology at Tübingen University Hospital, presenting cases from its own practice.

Training courses

We regularly participate in external and internal training courses and conferences (e.g., the annual fall meeting of the Molecular Pathology Working Group of the German Society of Pathology).
Internal training courses include, among other things, the discussion of interesting and difficult cases from routine diagnostics.
